Daniel Chasteen, 61, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
He was born on May 2, 1961 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Louis Chasteen and Dorothy (Elder) Defenbaugh. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Edward Chasteen.
Daniel was a hard working man that took care of his family. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his dad and brothers at their special spot at the lake. In his younger years, he enjoyed roller skating. Daniel will be remembered for being a big U of L fan and his culinary skills; cooking the best T Bone around.
Daniel is survived by his children, Pamela Lynn Davis and Amber Hutchinson, significant other, Tammy Turner, grandchildren, Daniella Burgess, Renacka Burgess, Destiny Burgess, Alissia Burgess, Jeremiah Turner and Dreamy Miller, great grandchild, Treasure Massey, siblings, Michael (Cindy) Chasteen, Deborah (Randy) Winoker, Richard (Julie) Chasteen.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A service celebrating Daniel's life will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
The family requests that contributions in Daniel's memory be made to the family.
