Cynthia Joy "Cindy" Williams, age 56 of the Westport community, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018.
The tale of two Cindy's: For those of you that knew her for a significant amount of time, you know this to be true. After accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior Cindy pursued a family life with Randy Williams. They established a home together in Westport, KY and raised three children, homeschooling them and raising them with the same faith in Jesus. During this time Cindy was a pillar in her family, avid gardener, an event planner for her town and home-school community, and always willing to help anyone in need. She was a wife, teacher of many subjects, silly, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a daughter, a comedian, and radiant friend who glowed with God's spirit. In her later years Cindy began to experience a variety of health issues. Unfortunately doctors were never able to pinpoint a singular cause for these ailments and she was forced to endure discomfort, pain, and uncertainty until her final moments. We rejoice in the fact that we know Cindy is no longer feeling these negative entities and are grateful for the host of wonderful memories to recall when we think about Cindy's time here on earth. Such a small paragraph does not do justice to the woman we knew, we pray that you remember her for her in her best years with a life full of vigor and passion for her Savior. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Joyce Goodman Fugate.
Per Cindy's wishes cremation was chosen.
A celebration of Cindy's life will be 2 pm Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the John Black Community Center 1551 N. Highway 393, La Grange, KY 40031. A gathering will follow after the service from 3 - 6pm.
