Cynthia Joyce Watts

Cynthia "Cyndy" Joyce Watts, age 73 of La Grange, went to be with her Savior on Sunday, October 16, 2022. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church where she regularly attended Sunday school. She retired from Jefferson County Public Schools, having worked as an English teacher for 32 years. She was a prayer warrior who loved telling people about Jesus. She enjoyed reading, traveling with her husband, going to Bible study with her "Yahweh Sisters", playing bunco with her 48 year-strong "bunco girls", visiting her EKU "college girls", and spending time with her grandkids. She was one of a kind and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Preceding her in death were her beloved parents, Julian and Imogene Locke.

Left to cherish memories of her are her beloved husband of 53 years, Neill T. Watts; her daughter, Lorie Sewell (Josh); her four precious grandchildren, Harper Grace, Emmy Rose, Ryder Matthew, and Charley Anne; her sister, Debby Brooks (Ray); her nephew, Matt Brooks (Lori); and her great niece and nephew, Joanna and Clayton. She is also survived by a host of extended family and dear friends.

Visitation will be 4 to 6pm on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, with a celebration of Cyndy's life to follow at 6pm.
