Cynthia Powell Hartman, 58, of Salem, IN passed away on September 25th following a tragic automobile accident involving her and her husband, Mark Hartman, who subsequently passed away a week later.
Cynthia was a graduate of Moore High School and attended Jefferson Community College. She was employed for 30 years at Frost Brown Todd. She was an active member of Canton Christian Church.
Later in life, Cynthia retired to her beloved 16-acre house in Salem, IN. She won multiple state fair ribbons for her wildlife photography on her property. She enjoyed all landscapes of life, whether that be bird watching or sitting outside enjoying nature. She was a loving wife, daughter, aunt, great aunt, sister and an avid UK fan.
Cynthia is survived by her father and mother, Charles and Phyllis Powell; brother, Jeffrey Powell; sister, Linda Powell; niece, Amber Riley, great nephews and niece, Jaden, Elijah, and Bella.
Cynthia's visitation will be on Sunday, October 8th from 1- 6 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). Her funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9th at 11 AM at Chapel in the Woods (1407 Moser Rd, Louisville, KY 40299). A private burial service will be held on Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville.
