Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Durham, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
She was born on July 16, 1947 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Lt. Col. Maurice and Grace (Heaney) Kersey. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Butch" Durham and sister Joan Snyder.
Cindy worked for the last 20+ years as a Resident Manager for the Kendall Cralle Company. She was a people person who enjoyed interacting with her co-workers and tenants, many of whom were some of her closest friends. Always active, funny, and vivacious, she lived for others. She was also a pet person and showed affection and devotion to her many dogs, cats, rabbits and parrots, as well as showering attention to her friends and her family's pets and even strays. Previously she worked as a dance instructor in Nashville, Detroit, and Denver. It was Denver where she met her soulmate Butch.
Cindy is survived by her loving brother, Dave Kersey (Linda), sisters, Diane Kersey, Shatoya Reed and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
