Curtis Lee Pile

Curtis Pile, 87, of LaGrange, Kentucky passed away July 18, 2022.

Curtis served his country honorably in the United States Army and Army Reserve. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1962 with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science. He taught history and wood shop for many years before finishing his career in the Department of Pupil Personnel with the Jefferson County Board of Education. He was proud to be a Kentucky Colonel.

Curtis loved to share stories with his friends and family, and he enjoyed helping others. He served faithfully with the Optimist Club of Louisville, helping to have a positive influence on those in less fortunate circumstances. He loved his twin daughters very much, along with his companion of 23 years, Meg Neuses. Curtis trusted Jesus for his salvation.

Curtis is survived by his sister, Margaret (George) Klapper, and his daughters Laura (Todd) Anderson, Lisa (Mike) Arvin, and four grandchildren, Lucas Arvin, Chloe Arvin, Benjamin Arvin and Joshua Anderson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) from 11:00am - 1:00pm, with the funeral service to begin at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at Cave Hill Cemetery (701 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY 40204).
