Curtis Wayne Morris, age 39 of Louisville, Kentucky, went to his heavenly home on Friday, October 15th, 2021. He was born on October 19th, 1981 to Wayne & Bonnie Morris in Louisville, Kentucky. He was raised in Oldham County where he attended elementary school all the way through high school. As a teenager, Curtis began working with his Dad building houses where he developed a skill set in Carpentry that he became proud of and used all throughout his adult life. He had a tender, giving heart and an infectious laugh that you couldn't help but laugh along with. It was no secret which basketball team Curtis liked the most, he showed his support for UofL by wearing red and almost never going without a UofL hat. Some of the things he enjoyed were hunting, the time he spent outdoors, listening to various kinds of music, and eating all types of food, before he would eat he would always say, "I'm gonna smash that." Curtis cherished the time that he would get to spend with his family & always spoke about his time while he was living in Hazard, Kentucky, the place which he referred to as, "That's God's Country down there son." It was very likely to be called Son or Cuz by Curtis, that was his way of love, along with the tall slinky hugs or nudges in the arm that he would give. Curtis had a unique relationship and genuine love for each of his brothers, his one sister, nieces, nephews, many cousins, aunts, uncles and close lifelong friends. He admired & treasured his Pops (Dad) and loved him very much. Curtis grieved the loss of his mom everyday and missed her terribly, and he could always rely on his aunt Judy better known to Curtis as Booty to be a safe haven for him. His death has absolutely devastated his whole family, Curtis will be desperately missed, but always remembered.
Curtis is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Morris; maternal grandparents, Bill & Julia Young; paternal grandparents, Frank & Sarah Morris; his stepsister, Amy Westmoreland; and three of his uncles, Gary Morris, Clarence Young, & Joe Young.
Those keeping his memory alive are his only daughter, Keindra Johnston; his only son, Cameron Morris; his dad, Wayne Morris & stepmom, Bobbi Lynn Morris; brothers, Billy Joe Young, Christopher Morris, Robert Young (Bobby Joe), Wayne Morris Jr. (Bub); his only sister, Tracey Shelden; six nieces, six nephews, several aunts & uncles, many cousins, and countless friends that will miss him terribly.
