Curt Dodge Grant

December 8, 1957 — January 10, 2025

Louisville, Ky

Curt Dodge Grant, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky, with his devoted wife, Holli Grant, by his side. Born on December 8, 1957, in Louisville, he lived a life rich in love, purpose, and creativity.

Curt dedicated his career to helping others as a Home Healthcare Technician at Holdaway Medical Services, where he provided vital support to those in need. His compassionate nature and unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life for others showcased the man he was - nurturing, gentle, and fiercely devoted.

An honorable graduate of Westport High School in 1975, where he met the love of his life, Holli, Curt continued his education at the University of Louisville. Together, they fostered a beautiful partnership that lasted an extraordinary 48 years. Their bond was the foundation for a family that grew to include two cherished daughters, Carrie (Nathan Dorn) Grant and Ginger Grant, who brought immense joy to his life. Curt's love for his family was profound; he was always their biggest supporter and confidant.

In addition to being a devoted family man, Curt was a passionate musician. His affinity for music manifested in his talents across various instruments, including guitar, bass, drums, and cello. He held a noteworthy achievement as the second chair in the Louisville Youth Orchestra, a testament to his dedication to his craft. Music was a thread woven through his life, providing a means for expression and connection with loved ones.

Curt’s hobbies extended beyond music; he had an insatiable curiosity for the natural world. A butterfly collector at heart, he would spend countless joyful hours exploring fields with his family, discovering the beautiful and delicate creatures that captivated him. Birdwatching was another delightful pastime, where he cherished moments spent observing the vibrant wildlife that frequented his yard, particularly around his beloved holly tree, which offered berries to the birds that would gather to feast.

Family gatherings were imbued with laughter, deep conversations, and a shared appreciation for nature and music. He was not only a loving husband and father but also a caring brother to Robin Andari and a cherished uncle to nieces Elissa Hashemi and Emily Andari, who held a special place in his heart.

Curt leaves behind a legacy defined by kindness, compassion, and an unwavering spirit of generosity. Although he is preceded in death by his dear parents, Audrey and Robert B. Grant, his memory will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared.
