Cordale Johnson, Sr., 62, passed away on August 13, 2023. He was born on February 3, 1961 to the late Roger Clay and Cubie Brown. Cordale knew the Lord as his personal Savior. He was a Marine veteran who proudly served his country and was a 1979 graduate of Butler High School, were he played football. Cordale worked at B.F. Goodrich and Zeon Chemicals for 36 years. He never met a stranger and he was known for his saying, "If I had your hand, I'll throw mine in." Cordale will be truly missed, but will forever live in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger (Marie) Clay; mother, Cubie (Major) Brown; brothers, Roger Clay, Robert Clay, Melvin Brown, Major Brown and Nat Brown; sister, Vanessa Bolden; nieces, Ashley George and Erica Williams; nephew, Myron Turner, Jr. and brother-in-law, Myron Turner, Sr.
Cordale leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 42 years, Owanda Johnson; son, Cordale "CJ" Johnson, Jr.; daughter, Quiana L. Johnson; granddaughter, Khalia N. Combs; sisters, Shelia (Brian) George, Teri (Ricky) Bell and Deshawn (Shawn) Colbert; brothers, Gregory (Helice) Brown and Kelvin Brown; uncle, TV (Jessie) Brown; brother-in-laws, Wallace (Monique) Webber and John (Huldie) Webber; sister-in-law, Rosa Turner and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Our family expresses our sincere appreciation to Matriarch, Buna Fay Brown for always showing much love.

Graveside services for Cordal will be Friday, September 1, 2023, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, 2501 N. Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, beginning at 11am with military honors.
A memorial gathering will be Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 3960 Cane Run Road, Louisville, KY 40211, from 12pm-2pm.
