Constance R. "Connie" (Sutton) Watson, 85, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023. She retired from Sears in Clarksville, Indiana, and K-Mart in New Albany, Indiana. She was also a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Connie was known for her love of traveling and camping with her family. She enjoyed reading, listening to Elvis music, and watching Westerns. She will also be remembered for her love of making and eating pancakes each morning. Most of all, Connie loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was born on August 27, 1937, in Milltown, Indiana, to the late Harry and Louise (Eve) Sutton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Watson; brothers, Melvin Sutton and Sonny Sutton; daughter, Annette Roudenbush; sister, Bonnie Sutton; stepbrother, Melborne Sutton; stepsisters, Jean Baldwin and Almeda; and sister-in-law, Shirley Sutton.
Connie is survived by her daughters, Deborah L. (Neal) Houglin and Jessica (Dan) Foley; brothers, Donald Sutton and Carl (Carolyn) Sutton; grandchildren, Michael (Anna) Houglin, Jacob (Melissa) Houglin, Melanie (Kris) Ford, Melissa (Joey) Burton, Stephanie Roudenbush, Johnathan (Rebecca) Foley, and Christina; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with her funeral service taking place at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park (2778 Charlestown Road, New Albany).
