Colton Lee Rufing

Colton Lee Rufing, 17, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on September 1, 2004, in New Albany, Indiana. Colton attended Floyd Central High School. He loved hunting and fishing, snorkeling, riding motocross with his friends, and online gaming.

Colton is survived by his parents, Jason and Donna Rufing; siblings, Ally Trusty (Evan Higgins), Nicholas Trusty, and Tiffany Rufing; sister-in-law, Brittany Coriell; grandparents, Donald and Connie Cockeril and Roger Rufing; nieces and nephews, Haily Drasler, Hal Higgins, Lachlan Trusty, Hughie Higgins, Camille Coriell, and Ethan Coriell; girlfriend, Brooklyn Waters; and his best friend, Hunter May. He is preceded in death by his brother, Ryan Trusty; and grandmother, Joyce Rufing.

Cremation was chosen following Colton's wishes, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
