It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cole Franklin Adrio on December 28th, 2023 in Louisville, Kentucky at the young age of 27. He was born on December 18th, 1996 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Cole was an old soul who embraced conversation with everyone on any topic. He had an adventurous life pursuing his passions. He was an avid knife maker and collector, a lover of tasting smokey bourbons, and was a very talented cook. He spent his time in the outdoors camping, fishing, skiing and shooting.
He attended college at Western Kentucky University and obtained a degree in Business. Cole later pursued his true passion and entered into the culinary world. He worked in a variety of restaurants in Louisville including Decca and most recently Proof on Main.
Cole was a charming, funny and thoughtful young man who was dedicated to his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Johnny Franklin; Fleda and Frank Adrio; and aunt Angela (James) Orris.
He is survived in death by his mother Jennifer Adrio and father Bill Adrio (Carla Dallas); his daughter, Freya Rose Adrio (born January 3rd, 2024); brother Brayden Adrio; grandmother Joyce Franklin; uncles John (Kelli) Franklin, James (Angela) Orris, Steve (Lois) Adrio, Glenn Adrio; aunts Gail (Bill) Vetter, Karen (Mike) Sauerheber; cousins Chelsea Waggoner, Alisa Orris, Chase Williams, Jackson Franklin, Mason Franklin, Angela (Brian) Tucker, Audrey (Jason) Davis, William (Reilly) Adrio; nephew Atlas Adrio; Keri Atwell along with other close friends and loved ones.
A celebration of Cole's life will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243) from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross of Kentucky or APRON, Inc. in Memory of Cole Franklin Adrio to ensure he is remembered fondly by all who knew him or wished they had known him better. Cole departed this Earth too soon. He is deeply loved and will be missed by all.
