Clyde Spencer, age 90 of Prospect, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018. A native of Breathitt County, Kentucky, he was an Army Veteran of World War II. Clyde retired from American Tool Works/LeBlonde in Cincinnati, OH after 42 years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Audrey South Spencer.
Clyde is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Hallie Mae Walke Spencer; children, Clyde Spencer, Jr. (Joy), Elizabeth Walden (Paul) and Michael Spencer (Laura); grandchildren, Brandon Spencer (Lauren), Ashley Bush (Cort), Dustin Spencer (Stephanie) Matthew Spencer (Angela), Heather Spencer and Scott Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Luke Bush, Issac Bush, Peyton Spencer and Cooper Spencer; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be 4-8pm on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of Clyde's life will be 10am Tuesday, April 3rd at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 13060 Factory Lane, Louisville, Kentucky 40241. Burial will follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
