Clifford Anthony Kirchgessner, 76, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Clifford was a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Starlight, Indiana.
Clifford was born on July 2, 1935 in Clark County, Indiana to the late Emil M., Sr., and Irene R. (Missi) Kirchgessner. He is also preceded in death by his son, James Kirchgessner.
He is survived by his children, Larry Kirchgessner of New Albany, Ron Kirchgessner (Julie Sturgeon) of Indianapolis, and Diane Amburn (Mike) of Floyds Knobs; brothers, Emil Kirchgessner, Jr. (Mary), Edward Kirchgessner (Mary), and Albert Kirchgessner (Betty), all of Floyds Knobs; sisters, Marcella Graf (Ted) of Sellersburg, Mildred Fessel of New Salisbury, Martha Rhodes (Everett) of Texas; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Mass will be at 12 PM on Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (8310 St. John's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119) with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
