She was born on December 29, 1941 in Corbin , Kentucky to the late William and Clara Harris Helton.
Cleta is survived by her loving Husband of 61 years, L. D. Messer; daughter, Sandra Hockenbury (Rodney) and Sonya Patton; grandchildren, Cortney Nalley (Derek) and Clay Patton; great grandchild, Kensington Nalley; and brothers, John Helton, Don Helton, Ronnie Helton, and Harold Helton.
The family will hold a small private service.
