Clarissa "Riss" Wood

Clarissa "Riss" Wood, 46, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed going on vacations, watching movies and hanging out with her best friend, grandson, Markus. Riss was an avid fan of the Tampa Bay Rays and Indiana Hoosiers.

She was born on July 26, 1977 in New Albany, Indiana to Roger Wood and the late Wanda (Fanning) Earl. In addition to her father, Riss is survived by her wife, Shannon (Mason) Wood; step-children, Jordan White (Sheila), Taylor White, Sidney Mason; grandchildren, Kendra, Mireya, Markus, Jaclyn; siblings, Marsha Williams, Roger Wood, Jr.; step-brother, Patrick Robb (Leah); many extended family members, friends and her four-legged companion, Rudie.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her funeral service taking place at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers or memorial contributions, the family encourages you to pay it forward to someone else in memory of Riss.
