Clara Volz, 96 of Louisville entered into rest on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Meadowview Nursing and Rehab Center. She was a homemaker and a free spirit that truly enjoyed life and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Katie Volz; son, Michael Wayne Westerfield; brothers, Jimmy, George "Bud", Anthony "Tony", Melvin "Mel" and William "Bill" Volz; a sister, Ada Garrett.
Clara is survived by a daughter-n-law, Betty Westerfield (Curtis); grand-daughters, Michelle Chandler (Scott) and Heather Kovachik (Mike) and her precious great granddaughters, Abby, Brooklyn and Maddie Chandler, she is also survived by a sister-n-law, Doris Volz and dear friend and caretaker, Walter McLemore and a host of nieces and nephews.
Her family would also like to thank Dr. Sheth and the staff at Meadowview for the loving care given to Clara.
Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington, KY. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.
