Clara Marie Stum, 96, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Clara was a proud member of Howard Chapel Baptist Church. She was a phenomenal cook and she made everything from scratch. She was an excellent seamstress. Clara also enjoyed crossword puzzles, westerns, making jewelry, gardening, and most importantly spending time with her family.
She was born on July 31, 1927, in Clark County, Indiana, to the late Clifton and Mattie (Caldwell) Wagoner. Clara was a kind, loving, and strong willed woman. She would be there for the people she loved. Clara will be deeply missed by many. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Minnie Dyson; and two brothers, Clifton Wagoner, Jr. and James Brown.
Clara is survived by her loving son, Norman (Doris Stubbins) Stubbins; grandchildren, Lovell Stubbins, Nicole (Jeff) Yates, and Niesha (Tyrone) Ray; a host of great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Funeral Service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024 at the funeral home with burial to follow at West Haven Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
