Christopher Todd Vaughan

December 12, 1978 — December 3, 2011

Christopher Todd Vaughan, age 33, of Louisville, returned to his heavenly Father on Saturday, December 3rd at University of Louisville Hospital as a result of an auto accident on Sunday, November 27th. Chris was born in Richmond, Virginia on August 12, 1978 and graduated from Eastern High School class of 1996, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, Class Officer, Beta Club, member of the band and basketball team. He received his BA in Communications from Georgetown College in 2000, and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was an Assistant Vice-President at Old National Bank, served on the board of Home of the Innocents, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Middletown. Chris' life revolved around many things he loved. He was an avid U of L basketball and football fan, as well as the New England Patriots, enjoyed working out at LAC and dreamed of running in the Disney Marathon. Music was also a big part of Chris' life, having played saxophone throughout his school years, participated in Kentucky Baptist Youth Choir, and sang at many events throughout high school and college, and also played guitar in his younger years, recently renewing his interest. Chris enjoyed his family vacations to Disney starting at a young age, and continued to November of this year when he introduced his baby son, Tyler, to Mickey Mouse. Chris was looking forward to the years ahead sharing the magic of Disney with him as well as putting his son on Santa's lap for his first Christmas. Those who knew him will remember his great sense of humor and his infectious smile which would light up any room. He smiled biggest talking about his baby boy "Taco". Chris was a loving husband, father, son and brother, and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his brother Mark Allen, grandparents, Cleve and Lucile Hickman, John Vaughan, Sr. and Virginia Vaughan.

Chris will be cherished and remembered by his wife Helen; son Tyler Allen; parents, John and Linda Vaughan; sisters, Lindsey Vaughan, Stacy Griffin (Jerry) and Shannon Ellingsen (Andy); also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
