Christopher Leslie Malone

Christopher Leslie "Chris" Malone, 33, passed away on April 28, 2024. He was born with a drive and unmatched determination. Growing up he played many sports (football, hockey, cheerleading, step and wrestling) gaining all the experiences he finally began his coaching career in step as a sophomore in High School. Chris went on to coach a host of other schools and community centers, he also coached for the PCC (Presbyterian Community Center) Bears cheer team. His experiences led him to finally gaining the coaching position at Western Middle School For The Arts. Western Middle went on to be the ONLY Middle school in the nation with a back to back two time National 1st place win. Among that being his most prestigious win, he has won many first place wins, and at least 4 to 5 State winning titles. Chris was a born winner.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Emmanuel Malone.

Chris leaves to cherish his memories, his husband, Antae Dickerson-Malone; parents, Samuel Malone and June Thomas; siblings, Samantha Bowles, Theresa J. Thomas, Samuel Malone, III, Terrell Durham and D'Angelo Malone and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 4pm-6pm with a celebration of Chris's life beginning at 6pm.
