Christopher W. Leet

Christopher "Chris" W. Leet, 65, of Mount Washington, KY, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. He was born to the late William Leet and Peggy McCatty on July 15, 1958 in Louisville, KY. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Pam Morris; and his step-father, Al McCatty.

Chris is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Leet; brother, Steve Leet (Susan); sister-in-law, Lisa Jackson (David); brother-in-law, Al Sherrard (Michelle); nephews, William and Alex Leet, Eric Morris, and Trevor Carr; nieces, Brandi Carr, Brittany Sherrard, and Lori Dawkins (Kyle); great nieces, Estelle Rosenberg-Morris, Eloise Morris, Charlotte Dawkins, and Aubrey Dawkins; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Chris worked 17 years for Bell South (formerly Western Electric). He also worked at Bass Pro-Shop in Clarksville, IN for several years. Chris loved fishing, especially salt water fishing. He made sure to visit the Springmaid Pier every time he visited Myrtle Beach. Chris was also a avid Civil War buff, having a vast knowledge of Civil War history.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). A celebration of Chris's Life will follow at 10:00 AM that day at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris's memory may be made to the Norton Heart and Vascular Institute.
