Christoper Michael Jones, "Jonesy", "Unc", son, brother, uncle, and friend to so many, sadly moved on from this world Sunday, December 17th 2023. At the age of 37, he leaves behind his family and friends way too soon.
He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 18th 1986, to parents Michael and Dede (Guerrisi) Jones. He is survived by his brother, Trevor Jones, sister Ashley and brother in law AJ Rogers, two beautiful nieces, Carolina and Loralei Rogers, along with his grandmother and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Chris graduated from Saint Xavier High School in 2005 where his love of football flourished. After winning a state championship in 2004 he went on to attend Georgetown college where he furthered his football career. These experiences molded him into the person we all grew to love and gave himself the chance to make lasting friendships that quickly turned into family.
Among football and friends, Chris' true passions in life were the University of Louisville Athletics, go CARDS, The Chicago Cubs and Bears. His most beloved title in life was "Unc" to his nieces. He had a love for the outdoors, and the peace nature could bring, along with music that he loved to share with friends. Chris is widely known for his huge heart, contagious smile and burley hugs. These are all things that will be missed greatly by so many, but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday December 28th, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00PM at The Silo Farms 7350 Hempridge Rd, Shelbyville, KY 40065. Details to follow.
The family request that you wear red and green to honor Chris' memory and his love for St. Xavier High School and UofL.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Chris' memory to St. Xavier High School's scholarship fund located in Louisville, Kentucky.
