Chris Combs

Billie "Chris"Combs, 73, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Chris was a proud member of VFW Post 3281 Auxiliary and 40 & 8 with the American Legion. She enjoyed hiking, dancing, going to the beach, her cats, IU Basketball, traveling and most importantly spending time with family and friends. Chris's boys and grandchildren were the light of her life and she was so proud of them.

She was born on July 26, 1950 in Millstone, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Ollie (Fields) Combs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Jackie Georgopoulos.

Chris is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Jerry Terry; two sons, Jeremiah (Tonya) Walston and Jason (Meredith) Walston; three grandsons, Matthew (Alexis) Walston, Caleb Walston, and Noah Walston; great granddaughter, Ayla Walston; and sister, Bobbie Stelle.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, February 9, 2024 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Chris's memory be made to American Cancer Association or National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Kentucky-Southern Indiana Chapter.
