Chester Junior Sears

Chester Junior "C.J." Sears, 83, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Chester was known for his love of fishing and camping. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was born on June 10, 1939, in Greenville, Indiana, to the late Chester and Elsie (Endres) Sears. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Wheeler, Wilma Berryman, and Shirley Wheatley.

Chester is survived by his loving wife, Ethelda Sears; his children, Pam (Patrick) Cook, Jay (Rhea) Sears, and Christopher Plaiss; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2022, with his funeral service taking place at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenville Cemetery in Greenville, Indiana.
