Cheryl Ann Dailey

Cheryl Ann Dailey, 60, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023. Cheryl loved the holidays and was known for her festive decorations. She also enjoyed floral design and listening to southern gospel music. She was an employee of Walmart for over 25 years. She then worked for Sam's Club for nearly 5 years. Above all, Cheryl loved to spend time with her family. She hosted Sunday family dinners every week. She also loved playing dress-up for tea parties with her nieces. She was devoted to her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, whom she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

She was born on November 30, 1962, in Corydon, Indiana, to Lawrence and Beulah (App) Mayfield. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Charles Edward Dailey, Jr.; brother, Brandon Wade Mayfield; and great-niece, Mirrah Kate Troyer.

Cheryl is survived by her sisters, Bonita S. (James) McGuire and Sheila K. Mayfield; brother, Keathan L. Mayfield; 6 nieces, Rachel (Jeff) Gipe, Hannah McGuire, Cherith (Josh) Morrison, Megan (Lee) Troyer, Amber (Jeremiah) Griff, and Cassie Teeter; 4 nephews, James Caleb McGuire, Jordan McGuire, Jacob (Danielle) McGuire, and Cory Teeter; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews, Kayden Henretty, Blaine Henretty, Chloe Morrison, Kinley Morrison, Avery Morrison, Harper Morrison, Floyd McGuire, Ashley (Quentin) Krajnak, Matthew Gipe, Triniti Alane Troyer, Davonte Cal Griff, Berkeley Jada-Quinn Griff, and Kerrigan Dixie-Berlin Griff; along with many other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery in Georgetown, Indiana.
