Cherie Lynn Morgan

Cherie Lynn Morgan, aged 54, of West Point, Kentucky, gracefully departed this world on Friday, September 20, 2024.

Born on September 14, 1970, in Louisville, Kentucky, Cherie was the beloved daughter of Wayman and Marva (Cunningham) Morgan. She now rests peacefully alongside her mother, Marva Morgan, who preceded her in death.

Cherie's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her loving family. She is survived by her devoted father, Wayman Morgan Sr.; her cherished children, Aaron Morgan and Charity Elliott; and the smiles of her grandchildren, Novaleigh and Navy Cyan Elliott. Cherie also leaves behind her siblings—Melissa Bott, Wayman (Jessica Lyons) Morgan Jr., and Shannon (George) McKinney—as well as three nephews and five nieces, along with a wide circle of friends and relatives who will miss her dearly.

At the center of Cherie's life were her family and her unwavering faith. A devoted daughter, mother, granny, and sister, she embodied love in all her relationships. Cherie's loyalty to her friends was unmatched, and her understanding and accepting nature touched everyone who knew her. Her strength and resilience were evident in everything she faced.

Visitation to honor Cherie will be held from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 27th, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). A Funeral Service celebrating her life will take place at 6:00 pm on the same day at the funeral home.
