Charlotte E. Figo

Charlotte E. Figo, a former longtime Beacon, New York resident, passed away at her daughter's home in Kentucky on September 14, 2014. Born in Beacon on August 16, 1923, Charlotte was the daughter of the late John Henry and Jennie V. (Russell) Sutherland. Charlotte married James J. Figo on May 31, 1943 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Beacon. James predeceased Charlotte in 2008. In addition to her husband, Charlotte was predeceased by her sister, Vera and her brother, Willett.

Charlotte is survived by her son, James J. Figo and his wife, Beth of Virginia Beach, VA; her daughter, Linda A. Baltra and her husband, Lenny of Prospect, KY; her grandchildren, Dawn M. Snyder, Tammie F. Mason and Joseph J. Figo; her seven great grandchildren, Austin Snyder, Kenneth, Patrick and Anthony Mason, Tayler, Jackson and Lilly Figo; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive their friends on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 25 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 544 Wolcott Avenue, Beacon. Burial will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill.

Memorial donations in memory of Charlotte may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Peter T. and Patrick J. Halvey, Halvey Funeral Home in Beacon, New York.
