Charles Young

Charles "David" Young , 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020. David enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being in the outdoors. He was Christian by faith, and was a devoted follower of Christ. David enjoyed spending time with his family, children, and especially his grandchildren. David was a jovial person who never met a stranger and always would lend a helping hand to those in need. He was an avid University of Kentucky Fan, and enjoyed watching them on TV. During the Christmas holiday David would play Santa for the Elderly and Children.

He was born on May 29, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to Hayward and Dorothy (Richardson) Young. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Brother, Mike Young, and Sister, Shirley Ennis.

David is survived by his loving Wife of 50 years, Winnie Young, Son, Randall Young, Daughters, Marcy Young, and Becky Young, Grandchildren, Zach Cottongim, Blake Cottongim, Alexis Young, and Brooke Clark, Brother, Tony (Pam) Young, Brother, Rick Young, Sister, Darlene (Bruce) Shircliff, and Brother, Gary Young. David also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, at Newcomer Funeral Home.

The family requests that contributions in David's memory be made to American Kidney Association.
