Charles Edward Willis

Charles Edward "Chuck" Willis, 66, passed away on February 10, 2017. The oldest child of the late Charles Frank and Ann Catherine Willis. Chuck graduated from DeSale High School, Louisville in 1968. He later graduated from the West Virginia Institute of Technology in 1973 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He went on to work for the Naval Ordnance for 30 years, designing and setting up missile sights throughout the nation. Chuck was an avid sportsman and a "True Blue" UK fan. He coached football for 20 years for CSAA schools in the Louisville area, was an Eagle Scout, hunted, fished, golfed, performed martial arts and for several years played football and baseball.

Chuck is survived by not only his very special, dear and beloved wife, Veronica L. "Ronnie"; daughter, Amy (Rob); sons, Drew (Adrienne) and Chris (Heather); 9 grandchildren, Dylan, Courtney, Destiny, R.J., Gunner, Hayden, Christopher, Maranda and Kenzie; brother, Mike (Sue); sister, Judy (Bob); several nieces, nephews and cousins and two people that were just as important and meant just as much to Chuck are his sister-in-law, Marquita and brother-in-law, Jack.

Chuck will always be remembered as the person that would make any sacrifice to help out another person or animal. He deeply valued his family and friends and was always there for those in need.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY) from 1pm-8pm.
