Charles Lewis "Speedy" Very, 66, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away at his home on Monday, January 28, 2013 with his family by his side.
Charlie was born on April 24, 1946 to the late Frank & Naomi (Bline) Very. He was a graduate of Charlestown High School. Charlie worked in maintenance at the General Mills Pillsbury Plant in New Albany for 41 years until he retired. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed participating in several leagues over the years. Charlie had the most fun taking gambling trips with his wife, Dianne, where they visited many casinos all over the United States.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Dianne (Livers) Very; children, Joy Very, Amy Very, Christopher Livers (Veronica), & Aaron Gore; sister, Pearl Kannapel; brothers, Frank Very (Jen), Stephen Very (Charlotte); grandchildren, Charlee Ann Very, Christopher Nathaniel, Samuel Brendan, & Logan Isaac Livers. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Very; and his former wife, Fleeta Very.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 12 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany, IN 47150). His Funeral Service will be Friday, February 1, 2013 at 1 PM with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
