Charles Edward Timberlake, born on April 11, 1949, in New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on January 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 75 years old at the time of his death.
Charlie, as he was affectionately known, dedicated most of his life to his career as a truck driver until his retirement. He was deeply respected for his strong work ethic and commitment to his profession. Beyond his career, Charlie found joy in a variety of hobbies and interests, including NASCAR, basketball, motorcycles, and playing the lottery. He cherished moments spent sitting by the river and engaging in games of Texas hold'em. More than anything, his greatest happiness came from spending quality time with his family, who were the center of his world.
Charlie was also a proud member of the Veterans of Vietnam War and the Thunderbirds Motorcycle Club, communities that resonated deeply with his spirit and values. His legacy will live on through the cherished memories held by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Yvonne (Chris) Bryant, Melissa Timberlake, and Lori Timberlake. His grandchildren include Autumn (Jonathan) Stewart, Justin Roudenbush, Stephanie Roudenbush, Kandys Schuley, Edward "Andy" Schuley, Timothy "TJ" Gusler, Jr., and Emily Terry. Also survived by his adoring 14 great grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by his sister Susan Beaven, sister Donna (Michael) Pellman, brother Nathan Timberlake, sisters Elizabeth Storms and Terri (Robert) Parker, alongside brothers Alfred Timberlake, Jr. and Gary (Diellen) Timberlake, as well as Larry (Selena) Timberlake. He had numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will also remember him fondly.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Sr. and Thelma (Bennett) Timberlake; his sister, Helen Mundy; brothers James Herman Timberlake and Norman Timberlake; and sister Mary Diane Wright.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation and memorial service held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150. The visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM.
The family requests that contributions in Charles’s memory be made to American Cancer Society.
