Charles Ray Sparkman Jr.

Charles Ray Sparkman Jr., a cherished member of the community, was born on February 27, 1964, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He departed this life on January 6, 2025, in the same beloved city that witnessed his childhood and shaped his character.

Charles was known for his passion for fishing, where he found peace and fulfillment in nature. He also had fondness for collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, a hobby that brought him joy and connected him with fellow enthusiasts. His warmth and laughter will be remembered by all who had the pleasure to know him.

He is survived by his daughter, Rayquel Sparkman; his sisters, Nina Staton and Lena Stover; his nephews, Stephen Allen Jr., Vincent Tobbe and Sean Stover; his nieces, Alyssa (Dustin) Reinstedler and Kirsten Allen; and his great nephew, Oaklyn. Charles's legacy will live on through the love and memories shared with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Ray Sparkman Sr. and Norma Sparkman, who nurtured his spirit and instilled strong values in him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN, 47150. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Charles Ray Sparkman Jr. will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who loved him.
