Charles "Charlie" L. Smith, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
He was born on January 22, 1948 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late David and Claudine (Amaker) Smith. He is also preceded in death by his brother, David Smith.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Peggy Smith; son, Drew Smith; daughter, Ashley Zausch (Matthew); son, Aaron Smith (Katie); brother, Donald Smith (Paula); 9 grandchildren, Logan, Emery, Willem, Shea, Bellamy, Bailey, Milo, Dylon, and Sophia.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). The family will have a time to share memories that evening at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
The family requests that contributions in Charlie's memory be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
