Charles Edward "Bud" Sandifer, Jr., 89, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023. Bud was a retired electrician from IBEW Local 369 where he had 35 years of service.

He was born on April 17, 1934 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Charles Sandifer, Sr. and Mary Karman Sandifer. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Nancy (Thompson) Sandifer; daughter, Sally Gettelfinger; and sister, Sharon Martin.

Bud is survived by his children, Shannon Speth (Gary Jr.), Scott Sandifer (Jane), and Andrew Sandifer (Carla); grandchildren, Samuel Speth, Sara Coleman (Justin), Julie Aria (Robert), Gregory Gettelfinger (Megan), Lora Gettelfinger, Andrea Sandifer, and Charles Sandifer; and great-grandchildren, Grace Gettelfinger, Sadie Gettelfinger, Nora Coleman, Dawson Coleman, and Amelia Aria.

Cremation was chosen. His Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, September 25, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church (415 East 8th Street, New Albany). He will be laid to rest with his wife privately at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Bud's memory be made to his church.
