Charles L. Probus

Charles "Charlie" L. Probus, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Charlie enjoyed a fulfilling career as an owner and manager of rental properties for approximately 60 years. He had a passion for driving beautiful cars and cherished his time spent fishing with his son. Alongside his beloved wife, he was a devoted member of The Louisville Rose Society.

Born on October 14, 1939, in Leitchfield, Kentucky, Charlie was the son of Oscar and Myrtle (Moon) Probus. He was preceded in death by his father, James Oscar Probus; his mother, Nancy Myrtle Probus; his wife, Patricia Probus; his son, Trent Probus, as well as his brothers and sisters.

Charlie is lovingly remembered by a host of nieces and nephews who carry on his legacy.

A graveside service in celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.

In honor of Charlie’s memory, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Local Humane Society.
