Charles Edward "Chetty" Napier, 71, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on July 23, 2017. He was a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Jeffersonville and loved tinkering on lawnmowers and cars, and playing Euchre and Poker.
Chetty was born on May 13, 1946 in Blue Diamond, Kentucky, to the late Paul and Geraldine (Standafer) Napier. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Sue (Cockerill) Napier; grandson, Camron Luckett; and siblings, Jackie Oliver and Jerry Napier..
He is survived by his loving children, Joe Lenz (José), Loria Luckett (Morgan), Misse Wallace (Erik), Jacque Martin (Nick); siblings, Billie Jo Tincher (Wally)and Henrietta Leonard; grandchildren, Sean Sluder (Angel), Natalie Luckett, Ryan Luckett, Kaycie Martin, and Cheyenne Wallace; 7 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 4PM to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will take place on Saturday at 11 AM in the chapel at the funeral home with cremation to follow. Private Burial will take place at a later date at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
