Charles Murphy

Charles Daniel Murphy, 85, of Palmyra, passed away on November 17, 2012 at his home with his family by his side.

C.D. was born on January 14, 1927, in Horse Branch, Kentucky to the late Charles H. & Flora B. (Daniel) Murphy. He worked many years as a contract carrier for the Courier Journal. C.D. enjoyed horse back riding but dogs really had a special place in his heart. His four legged faithful companions were, Charlie Brown, Nathan, Molly & Maggie.

C.D. is survived by his wife, Frances (Kinslow) Murphy; children, Euda Faulkner (Kenneth), Albert "Bo" Murphy, Audrey Murphy (Cheryl), & Vicki Riddle (Jim), Debbie Thompson (Paul), & Melinda Martin; sister, JoNell Wilson (Eules); grandchildren, Mark Seewer (Jeanna), Alice Seewer, Amy Schuler (David), Jamie Williams (Jeff), Paula Sponhouse (Rodney), Brandon Thompson (Kaleena), Amanda Martin, & Clinton Martin; and 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 PM to 8 PM Monday, November 19, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11 AM at the funeral home with burial immediately following at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville.
