Charles Patrick Marguet

Charles Patrick Marguet, 90, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Pat was a devout Catholic and active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He was a proud graduate of the 2nd class of Bellarmine University. He was the secretary/treasurer of the New Albany Box and Basket Company from 1955 to 1996. Pat loved making jokes, games and puzzles, and being with his family.

He was born on May 8, 1933 in New Albany, Indiana to Charles P. Marguet Sr. and Mary McBarron Marguet. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Joan (Gettelfinger) Marguet; sisters, Mary Ann Nord and Margaret "Bebes" Marguet.

Pat is survived by his daughter, Beth Weber (Jeff); son, Dan Marguet (Missi); son, Charles Marguet (Carrie); grandchildren, Ian Weber (Hannah), Erin Barlow (Matt), Anna Weber, Abby Sester (Shane), Jacob Marguet (Sydney), Will Marguet, and Kate Marguet; and great-grandchildren, Hank and Leighton.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 9:00 am. His Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany). He will be laid to rest privately with his wife at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Pat's memory can be made to Bellarmine University.
