Charles Frederick Jackson

Charles Frederick Jackson, 81, of Greenville, Indiana went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

Charlie was born and raised in Borden, Indiana. He graduated from Borden High School and was a member of the basketball & track teams.

Charlie graduated from Greenville College, Illinois where he played basketball and graduated with a degree in education; then Charlie completed a master's degree at Indiana State University. He taught and coached at New Washington High School and Henryville High School. Charlie completed his career in education retiring from Borden High School where he coached cross country.

Charlie was a member of Georgetown Southern Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon.

Charlie enjoyed gardening and sharing the fruits and vegetables he raised with family, friends, neighbors, and church family.

Charlie was born on January 15, 1942 to Homer and Catherine (Price) Jackson. Homer was born in Indiana, and Catherine was born in Kentucky. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Foster and Alta Callahan (Bell); sister-in-law Marilyn Jackson; brothers-in-laws Gordon Trainor and Don Childers.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Ruth Ann Jackson; children C.J. Jackson (Tammy) and Ben Jackson (Christi); siblings Donnie and James (Kathy); and grandchildren Clay, Cade, Brady, and Riley.

Charlie Jackson's Visitation will be at Georgetown Southern Baptist Church on Saturday, December 23 from 9:30 am - 10:30 am. The service will also be at Georgetown Southern Baptist Church immediately following the visitation at 10:30 am.
