Charles J. Offutt

Mr. Charles J. Offutt (C.O.), age 83 of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. He was a WWII Marine Veteran and was retired from Koch Beef Company. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles L. and Mary F. Offutt, and four brothers, Johnny, Jimmy, Paul and Joseph Offutt.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Henrietta Goodwin Offutt; daughter, Jatonia Crews (Larry); 3 step-children, Mike McClain (Maryann), Maxine McClain (Joey) and Gerri Grigsby; brothers, Louis and Jerry Offutt; sisters, Mary Nugent (Charlie), Patsy Kremer (Paul) and Betty Siefert (Joe); grandchildren, Bobby Basil (Sandy) and Dana Mefford (Bruce); great-grandson Brayden Mefford; 8 step-grandchildren and 14 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral ceremony will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown with burial in Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 2-8p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
