Charles (Charlie) Hoover, 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018. Charlie was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent DePaul, and St. Peter the Apostle Friendship Club.
He was born on October 16, 1932 in Louisville, Kentucky to Peter and Myrtle Hoover. He is preceded in death by his parents, Brothers, Al Hoover, and Louis E. Hoover, Sisters, Ella Mae Vollmer, Juanita Patterson, and Doris Hoover.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Claire Phyllis Hoover, Daughter, Teri Hoover Maynard, Son, Mike (Sue) Hoover, Granddaughters, Kelly Bratcher, and Logan T. Hoover, Grandson, Ray Bratcher, Great-Grandsons, Dylan Ray Bratcher, and Aiden Lee Bratcher, and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church.
The family requests that contributions in Charlie's memory be made to Hosparus of Louisville or St. Vincent DePaul Society.
