Charles Edward Hilpp

June 10, 1943 — December 7, 2023

Charlie "Pa" Hilpp went home to Jesus on Thursday, December 7, 2023. Pa was born on June 10, 1943 and lived a full and blessed life of 80 yrs. Pa was reborn in Christ in October of 2001 and loved the Lord and it showed by his actions and words to everyone he knew or met. He never met a stranger. He was a loving and dedicated husband to Sherry "Ma" for 33 years, being married 27 of those 33 years. She was his bride and they had a love story that everyone hopes for. They were the best of friends whom you rarely saw apart from each other and Ma is so thankful for the promise Jesus gives us to be able to see Pa again one day in heaven.

Pa graduated from Waggener High School. He served honorably in the United States Army as a Field Artillery Forward Observer during the Vietnam Era. He later worked at First National Bank and then took early retirement from National Processing Center. During his retirement Pa started a remodeling business which is now known as Integrity Home Remodeling, LLC and a partner with our son Chris. Pa loved what he did and engaging with the people he worked for. After all he was a "son of a barber" (one of his many favorite quotes) and loved to talk. He wanted to know them on a personal level when doing work for them. He was happy knowing the business he and Chris built together will continue. Pa is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Wilson; brother, William Hilpp; mother, Rita Mary (Warren) Hilpp and father, Ed Hilpp.

Another saying Pa had was "Family is Everything" and through his love for Christ, actions, always kind words, humor and a love so deep for his children. Pa's legacy will continue through his loving wife, Sherry; children, Charles (Joe) Hilpp II (Stephanie), Kenny Hilpp (Amy) and Chris Luckett (Emily); and his grandchildren, Kaylee, Hunter, Emma, Grace, Lillie and Hudson Hilpp; his siblings, Rita Flynn (Doug), Richard Hilpp (Jeanette), Mike Hilpp (Patty); and a host of relatives and friends.

Pa is preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Wilson, brother William Hilpp, mother Rita Mary (Warren) Hilpp and father Ed Hilpp.

Pa will be missed by so many as he touched and impacted so many lives over the years. He always hoped to show the love of Christ through his actions and words in all his relationships. He hopes to see everyone in heaven one day and know that, that can happen by a relationship with Jesus Christ.

One last quote he said daily: "Don't let anyone ruin your day now."
