Hargus, Charles B. "Chuck" Ret. E7 80, born July 6, 1932 in New Market, TN, died January 3, 2013 at Norton's Brownsboro Hospital.
Chuck proudly served our country for 22 years in the US Army. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, Berlin Crisis and Vietnam War. He retired from the Civil Service and D&R Pharmaceutical. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of VFW Post 5710.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lemuel and Nora Cook Hargus; infant son Charles Jr.; sister and brother-in-law Johnny and Tenny Snyder; brother and sister-in-law Willard and Edythe Hargus and brother Billy Hargus.
He is survived by his wife Tommie (Perrin) Hargus; daughter Jasmine Hargus; sisters Roxie Dockery and Mae Hargus; special daughters Laura Groseclose, Saori Aoyama, Lori Noe, Lisa Velasco, Keiko Harasaka, Saori Higuchi, Melissa Grandstaff and Akira Yoshioka; mother and father-in-law James and Frances Perrin, brothers-in-law Andy (Kathy) Perrin, James Perrin, Stephen Kincaid; sisters-in-laws Cathy Kincaid and Diane (Jeff) Grandstaff; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 7pm Monday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Ky. Visitation will be 2-3 for the family, 3-7 for friends and family. Burial will be 1pm Tuesday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, 2501 North Dixie Highway Boulevard, Radcliff, KY. Celebration of Chuck's life will follow at Irvington Baptist Fellowship Center, Irvington, KY.
