Charles "Greg" Shircliff, 67, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday evening, October 1, 2014. He retired from Ford Motor Company as a journeyman pipefitter and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Buena Vista. Greg was also actively involved in the St. Peter's Men's Club and was a Fourth Degree Knight of the St. John Paul II Knights of Columbus Council #1808 where he had served as the past Grand Knight.
Greg was born on October 28, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Charles Edward and Joyce (Garr) Shircliff. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Brenda (Babcock) Shircliff; children, Jetta Lillpop (Jeff), Carl Shircliff, Ellen Logsdon (Jason), Rebecca Shircliff (Andy Ingraham); siblings, Steve Shircliff (Cheryl), Connie Ort (Greg); proud grandfather of Justin, Kalynn, Kally Lillpop, Blake, Maverick, Noah Shircliff, Jackson, Elliott Logsdon; and great-grandchild, Tristen Lillpop.
Visitation will be from 10 AM to 8 PM Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) and on Monday after 9 AM at his church. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM, Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church (7780 Buena Vista Road, Elizabeth, IN 47117) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
