Charles Edward Brown

Charles Edward Brown, 73, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Charles was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and Pop to his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his caring spirit and always being helpful to anyone in need. Charles had a strong faith in the Lord and always had his Bible near. He loved to share the Word with others and often gifted bibles. Charles will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. 

He was born on June 25, 1951 in Hardinsburg, Kentucky to Olen and Edna (Dowell) Brown. He is preceded in death by his father, Olen Brown; mother, Edna Brown; son, Chris Brown; and siblings, Jimmy Brown, Billy Brown, Joe Brown, and Betty Holcomb.

Charles is survived by his loving family, daughters, Dana (Mark) Manion, Dawn Burress; wife, Patty Brown; grandchildren, Chelsee, Mark, Jr., Amber (Melly), Cody (Rowan), Nick, Misti, Alex, Jordan; great-grandchildren, Ja'Leah, Jamarria, Hadley, Maverick; siblings, Phil (Donna) Brown, Sister, Catherine Brown; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. His Funeral Service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family requests that contributions in Charles’s memory be made to Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions to assist the family with final expenses.
