Charles Daniel Cox, known as "Danny," age 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024. Danny was a devoted husband, father, papaw, brother, and friend, whose love for the outdoors, particularly fishing, and his time going to Panama City Beach, brought him great joy. His deep affection for his family was evident to all who had the privilege of knowing him, and he will be deeply missed.
Born on November 15, 1959, in Germany to Charles and Ruth (Purvis) Cox, Danny was preceded in death by his father, Charles D. Cox; mother, Ruth Jean (Gene) Hume; and sister, Robin Chesser.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Ramona Jean Cox, along with their children, Christopher (Amanda) Cox, Dana Cox, and Kayla (Randy) Miller. Danny also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren, Joseph Fries, Cameron (Jada) Cox, Leigha Fries, Cadance Cox, and Kira Miller, as well as his great-grandchildren, Camden Cox and Raya Cox. He is further survived by his siblings, Kathy (Bob) Labor and Sharon (Rock) Heckman, along with numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
In honoring Danny's legacy, the family invites contributions to be made in his memory to the Kentucky Veterans Administration or The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
