Charles Louis Cahill Sr. , 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
He was born on June 26, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William and Ginette Louis Cahill. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Lawrence, siblings, Darrell Cahill, Danny Cahill, Sharon Osburn, P.T. Cahill, and William Cahill, III.
Charles was a loving and devoted family man. Charles owned and operated C L Cahill Plumbing Company for 25+ plus years. He will always be remembered for always being able to make anyone smile, his generosity and the never ending "second chance". Charles enjoyed watching U of L sports, rock n roll music, fishing, woodworking, and playing competitive miniature golf. Vacations with his family was something really important to him; he loved taking them to theme parks, the beach and the mountains. Charles has left a long lasting legacy through his family, he will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Mary Eleanor Cahill, son, Robert (Brandy) Cahill, daughter, Trish (Bryan) Rector, daughter, Jana Renn, son, Charles (Dawn) Cahill, Jr., grandchildren, Brad, Erica, Cassandra, Hannah, RayAnn, Robert, Alex, Josh, Matt and Gage, 11 great grandchildren and his siblings, Lillian Ford, Mike Cahill, Joyce Payne, and Patty Siegrest, and his sweet little dog, Whinniey.
