Charles "Buddy" Beaven Jr.

Charles passed on to his heavenly home on January 22, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. 

Buddy was born on December 18,1947 to Charles “Bud” Beaven Sr and Laverne (Reiber) Beaven. Buddy graduated from Desales High School in 1966 and went on to wed Mary Vincent Beaven in 1968, they were married until his death and would have spent 57 years together as of February 8, 2025. Buddy retired from C Lee Cook in 2010 after 35 years of service. He was a kind hearted and loving person with many lifelong friends. He never met and stranger and loved to talk to anyone about his many interests and his family. He was an avid fisherman and multitalented. 

Buddy is preceded in death by his parents Charles Beaven Sr and Laverne (Reiber) Beaven, and his brother Joseph Beaven. Buddy is survived by his wife Mary Catherine (Vincent) Beaven, his 2 children Lisa Ann Beaven and Robert Allen Beaven (Connie), his 4 Grandsons Robert Mitchell Beaven, Aaron Taylor Beaven (Cheyenne), Alexander Hayden Beaven (Sydney), and Joshua Marcus Daniels, his 2 Great Grandchildren Aaron Jameson Beaven and Aurora Shae Beaven, his siblings Maryann Cusick (Frank), John Beaven (Barbara), Jim Beaven (Linda), Jeannie Beaven Douglas, Michael Beaven, and Debbie Beaven Gerstenlauer (Roy), along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Visitation will take place from 1:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Newcomer Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). On Monday, February 3rd the family will start welcoming guests at 10:00 am followed by a service celebrating Buddy's life at 11:00 am. Buddy will then be laid to rest at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
