Charles Ray Barnett

Charles Ray Barnett, 84, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023. He loved music and in his younger years had enjoyed being a member of a band. Charles liked motorcycles, cars and was a member of Thomas English Elks Lodge #1510.

He was born on July 12, 1939 in Campbellsville, Kentucky to Earnest and Mary Ella (Buckner) Barnett. Charles is survived by his children, Sharon Ratliff (Keith), Roger Barnett (Jodie), Charletta Woods (Arshion), Brian Barnett (Valerie); sister, Cordelia Barnett; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 12:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Pleasant Union Church Cemetery in Campbellsville.
