Charles C. "Chuck" Bailey

Charles C. Bailey, 70, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024. Chuck was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He was born on November 6, 1953 in Florissant, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his father, Cornelius Bailey.

Chuck is survived by his children, Andrea (Jimmy) Spencer, Cari Jo Bailey, and Andrew Bailey; mother, Athlea Stark Bailey; lifelong friend and companion, Tammy Bailey; siblings, Patricia (Terry) Watson, Carol (Johnnie) Smith and Mark (Paula) Bailey; and grandchildren, Kinley Spencer, Kenny Spencer, Sydney Christiansen, and Damian Bailey.

Chuck enjoyed baseball games, fishing, and seeing the country behind the wheel of a semi-truck. He loved his family and friends, always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed long walks with Cari Jo and exploring new places. He will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, at the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow at Bowery Cemetery in Memphis, Indiana.
